Why Visit Africa?
If you are considering taking an outside of the country destination vacation, why not take a look into Africa. Africa has a rich history as well as an amazing culture. Most people never take the time to realize how beautiful the continent really is. Africa is most known for their beautiful scenery as well as their wildlife. When you hear Africa you may hear Safari right behind it, you cannot image what a true safari would be like unless you travel to Africa to go on a true African Safari. Here are just a few reasons why you should visit Africa.
Nature and Wildlife: One of the most amazing places in Africa is Tanzania, they are very proud of the large number of animals that live free all over the country. Tanzania has an impressive National Park and Game Reserves, such as the Selous and the Mahale. Visitors are offered the chance to see one of the very few resources that are preserved by nature alone. There are 3000 lions in the Selous alone. You may also be able to catch a glimpse of the African Hunting Dog, which are extinct in most parts of the continent. You can also see Chimpanzees on safari in Mahale as well as Gombe in their own habitat.
Victoria Falls: One of the most beautiful places in the world. Located on the Zambezi River that borders Zambia and Zimbabwe. The spray that emanates from the falls can be seen as far away as 546 million cubic meters of water per minute, the falls go into a very steep gorge about 100 meters below. There are peak times throughout the year such as March and April where the Falls are at full power. Since there are large masses of the water spray from the waterfall, the full width of the Falls cannot be seen on foot, so you can image the scale and the power of Victoria Falls.
Relax on the Beach: If you are looking for fun and sun, Africa has no shortages of beaches. North Africa has a huge following in their beach resorts. East Africa has beautiful beaches that are not as crowded as the North. They have everything in your budget range. You can rent some affordable Budget Huts on the Indian Ocean in Zanzibar or if you want to splurge you can visit the more luxurious private island in the Seychelles. The west coast of Africa also has some spectacular palm tree lined beaches. If you are looking for paradise, you have found it here.
Hiking and Exploring: Africa is known for their hiking expeditions, many hikers are drawn to the world famous Mount Kilimanjaro as well as Mount Kenya an Atlas Mountains. There are guided hiking expeditions or feel free to explore on your own. Another great way to see Africa is on their Bicycle Tours; this is perhaps the most popular and most eco friendly way to see the wonders of Africa.
